| 2011 | October 11 , 2009 - The GC-MS has been running for testing water and sediment samples collected from the Nut Brook-Kelligrews River watershed near St.John's. September 21, 2009 - The design of a pilot-scaled stainless vessel, which is used for simulating the transportation of persistent organic pollutants, has been finalized. It weights around 11 tons including the soil and water inside. Orders have been sent off. [Read More...] |

July 10, 2009 - A whole set of Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) has been installed and tested running in the NRPOP lab. It was purchased from Agilent Technologies. An on-site tutorial was given to all graduates students in the lab. A carrier gas tank was also purchased and installed for future operation. [Read More...] |

May 27, 2009 - Dr. Bing Chen attended the CSCE 2009 Annual Conference in St. John's, Newfoundland as the registar. All graduate students in the NRPOP lab volunteered in this conference as well. Three papers were also published in the proceeding of this conference and presented by Liang Jing, Pu Li, and Jing Ping, respectively. [Read More...]

April 20, 2009 - Pu Li gave a seminar for the completion of his Master of Engineering study in civil engineering discipline. The topic of his thesis is "Development of an Enhanced Adaptive Resonance Theory Mapping System for Watershed Classification".
