Applicants must supply the following documentation before the application can be processed.

  • Application for graduate studies
  • Additional Information Form
  • One set of transcripts (showing the marks in each course completed since the first year of university education)
  • A TOEFL score of at least 550 on the paper-based test or 80 on the Internet-based test; a minimum overall score of 6.5 on IELTS; or other demonstration of English proficiency as described in the University Calendar(www.mun.ca/regoff/calendar/).

Submission of GRE scores is encouraged particularly for international students who expect to obtain financial assistantship. Please send completed applications, a processing fee of $40, and other supporting documentation to the School of Graduate Studies.

Admissions are normally decided in December to begin studies in September. All admissions made at that time are considered for financial awards. Candidates are advised to apply by the end of October since the admission procedure may take up to two months for overseas applicants. In certain circumstances, admissions are also considered for January and May intakes.
