2011 Angus Bruneau Student Life Forum

The 2011 Angus Bruneau Student Life Forum will take place on Saturday, Sept. 24 at Pete's Place (first floor Hatcher House) on the campus of Memorial University.

Registration starts at 10:30 a.m., with the forum beginning at 11 a.m. The day wraps up at 5:15 p.m.

The event will feature discussions on leadership, sustainability and innovation. The one-day conference is fully-funded by Drs. Angus and Jean Bruneau's donation to the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science, the Leadership and Innovation Fund for Engineering students.

Some highlights of this year's forum include:

- This year's theme is Leadership and Innovation

- A major goal of the forum is to remind engineering students that by using their education, they have the ability to initiate positive change in the world

- The day begins with a mixture of keynote speakers and breakout sessions

- The breakouts will be small interactive group sessions, all sharing a common characteristic: ways in which engineers and engineering students can display leadership and innovation

- These sessions will give students the opportunity to share their thoughts on a topic as they are guided by an expert in the area

- Lunch will be provided

- There is no registration fee

- The forum will conclude with a prize draw to show how much your participation is appreciated

The Student Life planning committee, comprised of Memorial's Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science's Student Society 'B' executive members, invites you to come out and take part in this interactive day. It is a great opportunity to interact with fellow students who share similar interests and ambitions.
