Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science hosts awards presentation tonight
The Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science at Memorial University of Newfoundland hosts its annual Fall Semester Awards Presentation this evening in the S.J. Carew Building. The event starts at 7 p.m. in the Bruneau Lecture Theatre and members of the media and general public are welcome to attend.
The Fall Semester Awards Presentation honours some of the best and brightest students from the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science. Prizes will be handed out throughout the evening, including the Dean's Awards, the Dean's List for the Class of 2013 and Class of 2015, as well as numerous academic and work term awards and scholarships.
More than $50,000 in scholarships will be awarded to Memorial Engineering students.
Dr. Ramachandran Venkatesan, dean pro tempore, Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science at Memorial University, will speak at the event, as will Tom Brophy, director of student success programs, Student Affairs and Services, Memorial University.
A reception in the main foyer will follow the awards ceremony.
