Term Appointment in Computer Engineering

The Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science, Memorial University of Newfoundland, invites applications for a regular term appointment in the field of Computer Engineering. Desired areas of expertise include digital hardware design, computer architecture, software design, hardware/software co-design, and embedded and real-time systems.

Candidates should have an earned Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a cognate area. The appointment will be for an initial term of three years at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor, depending on the qualifications of the candidate. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in the academic programs of the Faculty, including teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, developing laboratories, supervising student projects and participating in Faculty committees. The successful candidate will be expected to engage in research in his/her area of expertise, including seeking funds to support that research, mentoring graduate students and disseminating research results. The successful candidate will be expected to register as a professional engineer in Newfoundland and Labrador.

The Electrical and Computer Engineering discipline has well-established co-operative undergraduate programs in both Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering, and active graduate and research programs as well as on-going collaboration with local, national and international industry.
