After my undergraduate and graduate studies, both at Huazhong
University of Science and Technology, China, I obtained my PhD degree
in electrical engineering at Otto-von-Guericke University of
Magdeburg, Germany in Dec. 2002. I then spent more than two years
working as a post-doctoral fellow at Concordia University, Montreal,
and Dalhousie University, Halifax. After that, I joined the
University of Washington, Seattle, USA, as a research associate.
I have been an assistant professor in the Faculty of Engineering and
Applied Science at Memorial University of Newfoundland since Oct.
2006. My research interests include VLSI design automation, analog
and mixed-signal integrated circuit design, digital system and
circuit design, computer-based instrumentation, microelectronics and
computer applications in biomedical engineering, computer peripheral,
etc.
