Student Liaison Officer, Undergraduate Studies
B. A. (Memorial), M. Ed. (Memorial)
Born and raised in Newfoundland, graduated from Memorial for the first time in 1996. Returned to Memorial after graduation to complete a Diploma in Adult Teacher Education and then in 2000 to complete a Master of Educations in Post-secondary studies with a specialization in Student Services.
I have always been a proud Alumni of Memorial University and accepted my first position with them in 2005 with the Office of Student Recruitment as an International Recruiter. I have worked within the Education sector for over 12 years now, I lived and worked as a teacher in South Korea, taught ESL with the Association for New Canadians, was a director with the NISEP program for the Eastern School District and worked in admissions with Eastern College. After all of that I am so happy to be back with the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science at Memorial.
One of my current passions is volunteering. For two summers now I have volunteered as a counselor as an 8 day residential camp called Camp Delight. Camp Delight is a project of the Candlelighters Association of NL and is a camp held annually for children affected by childhood cancer.
