Web Submit Gateway
Note: Websubmit is only available from on campus computers. You cannot access it from off campus.
Although webSubmit should work with Internet Explorer, it is tested with Firefox. It is known to work in Windows XP, Windows Vista and Mac OSX.
- I submitted my assignment but when I click on View Submissions it can't see it.
- I submitted my assignment but when I click on Retrieve Assignment I can't get any files.
WebSubmit uses your username and section to identify your files. It does so by creating a folder for each section in the course and then one for each student within that section. Your files are dropped into a folder that is based on your userName. In every case we have seen where the first problem occurred it is because
- The student used different usernames to submit and view (or retrieve) the assignment. This commonly occurs for students who have both @mun and @engr.mun accounts.
- The student used different section numbers to submit and view (or retrieve) the assignment. This commonly occurs for students in first year for whom the section number assigned by the registrar has little meaning. We don't use the registrar's number either, just the number you give us. If you change that webSubmit gets confused and can't find your file.
If either of these is your problem try to be consistent from now on. In the meantime, your first assignments are stored according to how you submitted them. You will have to retrieve them the same way.
Additional Retrieve Issue
There are some indications that Internet Explorer sometimes has difficulty retrieving files from webSubmit. If that's the case for you, switch to Firefox.
