ECE Term 8 Free Electives

Students in Term 8 of either Electrical or Computer Engineering must select one free elective, which must be either:

5000-level or higher course from the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science, or
2000-level or higher course from the Faculty of Arts, or
2000-level or higher course from the Faculty of Science, or
3000-level or higher course from the Faculty of Business Administration.

If you have previously completed an acceptable course that you are not using to satisfy another requirement and have a grade of at least 60%, then you may use this as your free elective.

Selection of a course must be approved by the Discipline Chair. The following courses have been previously approved, so if you plan to take, or have already taken, one of these then you don't need to request approval:

Note that some courses will have pre-requisites. If you don't have the specific course required, but feel that you have otherwise gained the appropriate background, then you can request a pre-requisite waiver from the department that offers the course.
