New Scoring System
At the recent AGM of the World Squash Federation on October 18th, 2008, they have voted to adopt the PARS system. This will mean that both amateurs and professionals will use a unified system. PARS means Point A Rally System, i.e. you score a point if you win the rally whether you served or not. Each game goes to 11 points and at 10-all, a player must win by 2 points. It is 3 out of 5 games as before. In future Squash Canada will be adopting this system for all Squash Canada's events. In view of this change, Squash Newfoundland will also be adopting the new system starting with the St. John's Open, 2008.
