Step 3 - Create the Earliest Start Table (3 columns)

Column 1: a list of events in order,

Column 2: a list of activities which immediately follow each event,

Column 3: determine Earliest Start (ES) for each activity

2 B, C ES2 = ES1 + 6 = 6
3 D,E ES3 = ES2 + 8 = 14
ES3 = ES2 + 13 = 19

ES4 = ES5 + 0 = 27
5 G, H, I, Y ES5 = ES3 + 8 = 27 use largest ES3
6 J, K ES6 = ES5 + 4 = 31
ES6 = ES5 + 3 = 30
7 L, M ES7 = ES4 + 3 = 30 use largest ES4
ES7 = ES5 + 5 = 32
ES7 = ES6 + 8 = 39 use largest ES6
8 N ES8 = ES7 + 6 = 45 use largest ES7
9 O, P ES9 = ES8 + 8 = 53
10 Q ES10 = ES6 + 4 = 35 use largest ES6
ES10 = ES7 + 2 = 41 use largest ES7
ES10 = ES9 + 2 = 55
ES10 = ES9 + 3 = 56
11 ES11 = ES10 + 4 = 60 use largest ES10




Step 4 - Create the Latest Start Table (3 columns)

Column 1: a list of events in reverse order, denote as event n -> event n-i

Column 2: a list each activity associated with column 1,

Column 3: determine the Latest Start for each activity

11 -> 10 Q LS10 = LS11 - 4 = 56
10 -> 9 O LS9 = LS10 - 3 = 53

10 -> 6 K LS6 = LS10 - 4 = 51
9 -> 8 N LS8 = LS9- 8 = 45 use smallest LS9
