Engineering 6723 - Geotechnical Engineering II - is the second of three geotechnical engineering courses offered in the Civil Engineering program at Memorial University. It covers: shear strength of soil, and some of the basic principles of foundation engineering.

Course outline: Soil strength (part of Soil Mechanics), Lateral earth pressure and earth retaining structures, Soil bearing capacity for shallow foundations, Slope stability.
