The Intelligent Systems Group collaborates  industry and other academic partners on the development of a new approach to the programming, supervision and control of fleets of semi-autonomous mobile vehicles or robots.  Much of this research and development has been carried out with the support of the IRIS Networks of Centres of Excellence, the European Space Agency and the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC).
