8751 Scavenger Hunt
The scavenger hunt is intended to be a light-weight, fun exercise that takes students into the field. The rationale is that it helps students improve observation skills, learn digital photography and field reporting, view environmental conditions first hand, and, learn to identify coastal and ocean structures and phenomena.
The scavenger hunt may be executed in self-selected pairs or groups of three or four depending upon the students preference. The sharing of rides, cameras, etc. is encouraged though all individuals are expected to be present for all photos. The scavenger hunt component of the project is mandatory and is to be completed after the mid-term break. One lecture around the end of the term will be dedicated to viewing ALL class submissions.
