Introduction to Computer Programming -- Jr. High Enrichment Course

Download the software.

1. You need the Java Runtime Environment. (JRE). Many computers already have this, but you can down-load it and install it.
   • Go to http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/?intcmp=1281 . Look for "JRE 6." Click on the "Download" button.
   • Follow the instructions
2. Eclipse for Java Developers.
   • Go to http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/ . Download "Eclipse for Java Developers"
   • Extract all the contents from this .zip file. (I suggest extracting to "C:\Program Files" if you have a Windows computer.)
   • Make a shortcut to Eclipse.exe.
   • Drag the shortcut to your desktop and start menu.
3. Turtle World
   • Click here to download the Turtle World workspace.
   • Extract all files.
   • Use the "wksp" directory as your Eclipse Workspace.
