NRPOP Members Visited Riverhead WWTP

3 NRPOP members, Dr.Bo Liu, Ms. Yunwen Tao and Mr. Qiao Kang visited Riverhead WWTP in St. John’s on October 1. As a primary treatment plant designed to treat wastewater from the City of St. John’s, Mount Pearl and Paradise, and also harbour inceptor sewer, Riverhead WWTP has a robust mechanical system, which allows it to operate at up to three times the average flow during a wet weather event, when storm water is also being received and treated. After a guided tour provided by the engineers on site, NRPOP members discussed future cooperation with the lab technician. Thanks for the great opportunity!
