Weiyun Lin

Weiyun Lin obtained her B.Eng. in Environmental Engineering from Fuzhou University, China in 2009. After getting her M.A.Sc. in Environmental System Engineering and Management from Memorial University in 2011, she continued to pursue a doctorial degree at Memorial. She is currently a Ph.D candidate under the supervision of Dr. Helen Zhang.
Lin has solid background in environmental engineering. During the past years, she has been involved in multiple projects related to wastewater treatment, chemical and biological characterization of mining water, offshore oil spill remediation, composting of municipal solid waste, and soil remediation. Her Ph.D thesis investigates the removal of inorganic matters (e.g., heavy metals, sulfate) from wastewater using a surfactant-aided ultrafiltration technique.
