Yiqi Cao

Yiqi Cao obtained his first B.Eng. degree in Environmental Engineering and the second B.S.A degree in Landscape Architecture from Huazhong Agricultural University (HZAU). After graduated from HZAU, he enrolled in a master program in Shandong University (SDU) with his entrance exam waived. During the master period, he mainly focused on employing Molecular Biology to Environmental Science. Using biotechnologies such as Synthetic Biology, Metabolic Engineering, Gene Integration, he successfully embodied a promising bio-production platform as well as the study of the fundamental bioprocess. Now, Yiqi is a Ph.D. student in Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN), and his research topic is utilizing gene engineering for marine oil spill cleanup.
