Jingjing Ling

Jingjing Ling obtained his bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering from Donghua University in China. He worked as a research assistant in an organic chemistry company for two years. During working period, as a member of the product development team, he participated in various medicine precursor synthesis and optimized reaction conditions and purification methods. Then he began his master degree in environmental systems engineering and management at Memorial University of Newfoundland. In 2014, he started his M. Eng. at Memorial University of Newfoundland in environmental engineering. His research area focuses on:
1) development of affordable water treatment technology to provide safe drinking water in rural and small communities in Newfoundland and Labrador;
2) development of cost effective carbon materials for off-shore oil spill remediation.
